VIDEO SCOPE (SYSTEM TO OBTAIN AND PROCESS THE IMAGES)

Video Scope system is a software product which enables the user to input video images in the computer, process, compare and store the images.

The program consists of six main parts:
– Images obtaining system
– Images processing and investigation system
– Images comparison system
– Archives system
– User’s identification system
– Navigation system

Obtain the image
In operation of the “Video Scope” system there are several sources of obtaining the image. They are:

– video input device;
– devices to obtain the image, which support TWAIN protocol;
– files system;
– Windows exchange buffer;
– results of comparison and processing of the other images in Video Scope;
– libraries, created earlier in operation with VideoScope;
– information retrieval system “Frontline Documents System”.

System of processing and investigating of images
System of processing and investigating of images is a set of tools and functions, which enables the user to fulfil different operations with the images. Tools can modify the initial image (for example, change the image brightness) or just measure some characteristics, like distance between two points.

System of images comparison
System of image comparison is designed to reveal the difference between pattern and investigated image of the object. Comparison can be done by the method of mutual subtraction, addition of images and by the method of visual coincidence of the investigated image with the part of the pattern. There is also a mode of conjunction (conglutination) of two images in the comparison window.

Archive system
Archive system is designed to group the images according to certain rule, describe and store the image. Storage is done in libraries.
